Four Dead in School Bus/Truck Accident
A school bus collided with a semi tractor-trailer Wednesday in Webster County, killing four.
As of late Wednesday night few details are being released by authorities.
It appears the fatal crash occurred around 5 o’clock near Blue Hill. The Blue Hill School District bus collided with a truck loaded with bales of hay at the intersection of Webster County Roads 1800 and R.
Webster County authorities declined to disclose how many injuries there might be in addition to the fatalities, but reports from the area indicate that four children, between the ages of 6 and 10, suffered injuries. Ambulance radio traffic indicated some of the children suffered injuries ranging from possible broken bones burns, and lacerations. All were taken to Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings. One has been flown to Children’s Hospital in Omaha.
