Hastings to announce new police chief today

Hastings' new police chief will be announced this morning during a special session of the Hastings City Council. The four finalists are Hastings Police Department Capt. Gene Boner, Hastings Police Department Capt. Adam Story, Grand Island Police Department Capt. Peter Kortum, and Litchfield, Ill. Police Chief B.J. Wilkinson. The meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, and will be open to the public.
